Things have been peaceful.
My husband is adjusting to his new job and is home by 4:30 and we have every weekend together now. We have gotten some real quality time in not only together but with our friends and family. We have been spending more time at home just enjoying each other and the home we’ve built over the last 8 years.
Last night we went outside and just sat in the swing for what seemed like forever. It was so quiet and the weather was beautiful. I’ve been playing around a little bit with time-lapse videos and posted it on Instagram of the beautiful clouds moving through.
Tomorrow we will celebrate 8 years of marriage and we’re only a month away from celebrating 11 years together. 11 years…wow…sometimes it barely seems real.
I had to dig through the blog but I knew this post was out there somewhere. It’s some of my favorite pictures of my husband and I and I thought I’d share again for any of the new readers out there.

Congratulations on your anniversary(ies). Ain’t love and romance grand? I spent so many years longing for the “right” guy. I try not to take any of it for granted. So glad you don’t either. It’s so easy to get caught up in a bunch of married, grown-up stuff that doesn’t really matter.

Yea I try to always remain thankful for my husband. I really hit the jack pot with him and after 11 years he still is just as loving and kind as he was when we started dating. We have had our issues but he is truly my best friend and I’m so thankful to have found him.

Aww happy anniversary! I would love to have a swing set here and sit there in beautiful weather. That sounds wonderful.

The swing has been sitting in our back yard for over a year not being used that much, so we moved it to the front and spent over an hour out there last night. It was beautiful. The weather here has been perfect. I’m sure it will be super hot soon and I won’t be spending extra time outside because when it gets hot here, it gets HUMID! LOL!

Thank you! I have been trying to focus more on just enjoying the silence and the quiet that is in our life right now. When I was younger I always had to be somewhere or doing something, I’m trying to learn how to enjoy just being sometimes…
