Some things never change.

Wordless Wednesday

Since I’ve been gone for a while I figured I’d post some random pictures of my life. We worked on our kitchen and our living room, which is changed even since these pictures but I’m horrible at taking pictures when all I’m doing is changing décor. I did a big chalk board door in my kitchen, a dishwasher was installed, and for the first time since we moved in I changed our mantel and décor in our living room. Enjoy! (Sorry this made this entry NOT so wordless….meh oh well)

Randomness {WW Coming Soon}

I usually don’t do these things – but the amazing Jill tagged me and well I just love her and her adorable little accent – so I’m doing this for her! Check her out – she has videos too and is such a doll. 🙂

There are five rules

1. Post these rules. 2. Post a photo of yourself and 11 random things about you. 3. Answer the questions set for you in the original post.  4. Go to their blog/twitter and tell them you’ve tagged them

I chose this picture because it’s the most recent that I have of myself. Also stay tuned for my Wordless Wednesday (which I am going to move to Friday) because I am dying my hair this week – it’s going to be drastic – and I promise it’s worth staying tuned for. :)) YAY!

Eleven random things about me:
1. I hate people in my personal space. I don’t like unnecessary touching, and it drives me crazy when people act like I can’t hear them unless they are touching me in some way. Please don’t touch me unless it’s for a reason…

2. My top two movies are Finding Nemo – and Sweeney Todd. Yes I’m aware of how different these two are. And it only begins to speak for my weirdness.

3. I am technically an only child. But I have 6 siblings.

4. I have a phobia of anything fluffy food wise. Cool whip, icing, too much mayo or cream cheese. I feel like I’m going to suffocate if I get a big glob of fluffy stuff in my mouth. (mind out of the gutter pervies) haha!

5. I am the product of just “one time” & the first time. You may have seen this in my about me. If not – tisk tisk. (hehe jk) Knowing this made me incredibly ill prepared for my battle with having children.

6. I have gone to the same nail guy for 3 years, I have even bought his new baby clothes, and keep updated on his life. And I secretly think his wife does not like me – but she talks Korean so I don’t know – she might just not understand me.

7. I love to sing. I don’t know if I’m any good at it. People who are around me never tell me to stop, so that either means that I’m really awesome, but more likely they are awesome for listening anyways.

8. When I was little my favorite movie was Little Mermaid, my grandma kept a special fork for me to brush my hair with. I will adore her for that forever.

9.  My mom is my world. My biggest fear is losing her.

10. I am terrified at the future for my younger siblings and children in my life because of how the world is. I worry that they will never find true love and be able to be in a stable marriage because it rarely exists anymore.

11. I pray that my translocation was given to me from my mother. I am her only child so I will be the only one who suffers from it. If it is from my dad my sister and little brother have the potential to have issues. And I would rather carry the burden to myself. I also don’t think I want my own child anymore because of this. I don’t want to have to start an “IVF w/ PGD” fund as well as a college fund for my child.

And now for Jill’s questions:

1. How would you describe yourself in 3 words?
passionate, dorky, loving

2. If you could go anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
Australia – P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way, Sydney to be exact

3. What are your aspirations?
To be a active fun person, a dependable friend, and someone my family knows is there for them unconditionally. And obviously…a mother.

4. What is your opinion on tattoos?
I hate them. JK! I have a ton and I don’t know that I’ll ever be done getting them.

5. What make-up products do you use daily?
Foundation, Eye Makeup (primer, shadow, liner, mascara), Blush, Highlight Powder,  and a setting spray from MAC. For all I know it’s water but I don’t care, it makes it all feel better to me.

6. Who is your celebrity crush?
Jason Aldean – the country singer – this is why

Yes this is my husband (left) and Jason Aldean (right) Creepy right?!
And yes when we were in Las Vegas my husband was actually approached by his manager because she couldn’t believe how much they looked a like. It didn’t get us far except for directions to the Grand Canyon from someone who knows him. Too bad there wasn’t a million dollar look alike contest right?

7. Shower or bath?
Shower. Or a bath after a shower. I’m not going to soak in my own filth. (I’m leaving Jill’s answer) Because I feel the EXACT same way!)

8. Do you have a signature scent?
Yes – Oh Lola! By Marc Jacobs. Before that is was VS Heavenly. But I quit using that as soon as Lola came out and haven’t used anything else since.

9. Team Edward or Team Jacob?
Team Jacob for me – Team Edward for Bella! haha!

10. Slightly morbid I know – but do you have a song you would like played at your funeral?
Waiting on a Woman – I think of all the people waiting for me every time I hear this song

11. What is your favourite book ?
I love “So Close” by Tertia who I am now a friend with on facebook and I hope one day if I do donor eggs I can go to her facility in South Africa.

I would like to tag :

ANYONE WHO WANTS TO DO THIS!!! Seriously! If you do comment below and link your blog so I can go see what you had to say. And everyone else can read. :))

My Nephew {Wordless Wednesday}

Today I got to go to my sister in law’s (most likely) last ultrasound. She is 36 weeks and they wanted to do one more to check measurements, lungs, etc. I don’t know much about this stage of pregnancy so I was just interested in going to see the cool pictures 🙂

It was absolutely amazing watching him wiggle around and turn away, stick out his bottom lip, and put his hand in front of his face when he had enough. He already has the chubby cheeks just like my brother. I can’t wait to meet him!

He is measuring about 37 weeks (6lbs 9oz) and she is 1cm dilated with no thinning. My guess is he is here in two weeks. I’m guessing March 15th. Just my total random guess.

So here he is…

Wordless Wednesday

Behold the creepieness yet awesomeness that was my Monday. Hubby and I visited an old Frisch’s Big Boy in the older downtown area of where we live, then we went over to the old archery shop and looked at things for his bow (hunting) and took a “tour” of their 3D shooting practice room. I love the way these photos turned out and I loved acting like an old couple and just cruising around stopping by random places and enjoying the randomness with my husband.

Wordless Wednesday

A ton of pictures this time. Super Bowl, new foster Parker, and some random family pictures.

And this van – is FUZZZYYY! Says 10c a feel on the front! haha
Parker loving life off the streets!

Hubby and I with our niece Hayleigh! She is getting so big!!

Our nephew! He is due March 25th but the doctors don’t see her making it past February!

And my first Pinterest project.

Shameless Promotion Insert Here:

You all know this is my favorite band – they just released their new music video (yes I was at the taping – although you can’t see me because I was in the sound booth 🙂  And some pictures of their most recent show here in Indy. (PS: Yes I live where they are hosting the Super Bowl this year and NO I am not SO excited about it – parking is a B!tch right now!)

Sorry for the weird edits on the photos, I didn’t do it.
So for the wordless part (I’m not so great at that part)

The lead singer of Red Wanting Blue – Scotty

Greg – such a sweet man who always tells me
how amazing and strong of a woman I am.

My childhood best friend, myself, and a mutual friend (the photographer)
We always have so much fun dancing in the front row!
I teared up when I saw these two show up at the show
They have been traveling and on mission work and I never thought I’d get to see them that night
Such amazing friends with awesome hearts! And although Jeff is very passionate about his dancing which results in me almost needing a helmet – I actually missed dodging his elbows at the shows lately.

Wordless Wednesday

I know it’s late in the night but hey – I work nights so this is like middle of the day for me. It’s been a rough day but I’m trying not to let it get me down. Other than some random things (none of which I can really control anyways) it’s been a good week. My Grandma had to go in for emergency surgery Sunday night and was actually in the ICU but she is doing great now and when I talked to her on the phone today she was happy and sounded sassy as always! 🙂

Yesterday I helped hubby start the painting in my room but had to leave to go to work, I told him I’d help him finish it the next day (the paint around all the trim and what not – and when I got home he had already done it all! He got all the paint around the trim done, and even got my desk built. We used an old door and some 2×4’s. Now it just needs painted, which I’m doing this weekend! I’ll definitely make sure to get some pictures and get them posted next week.

Ok and now ford the Worless part – haha!

Apparently tonight I was having some “identity crisis” issues with what I wanted to drink…all the sudden I reached down to get a drink and realized I had quite the selection at my desk. haha!

…exhale (WW)

Today is a new day and the faults of the previous cannot be altered so I will not be tied down by the blunders of the past, I will live today just for today. One day at a time…

Today has not sucked like the previous days have. Read here or here if you wanna read my bitchy rambling and all the crap that’s been going on in my life. Today was actually quite great. I picked up our foster puppy from the vet from being fixed and she was so happy to see us. She slept on my lap the whole ride home. She let out a huge exhale when we got in the car, I’m sure she was terrified she was back in a shelter again since that is where she spent her whole life before us.

Then I got home and my Ulta Member Rewards came in the mail. I got $45 off a perfume purchase and because I bought an expensive perfume I only paid the different, and because the difference was more than $30 I got a free “weekender bag” for a promotion they are having right now.

I have renewed a friendship that kinda went bad a few months ago and it feels amazing. This friendship is just “different” and we know now after some time apart that our lives just simply aren’t as fulfilled without one another in it.

Today has been a good day. I’m still waiting to hear back if my car is totaled but either way it will be fixed or I will get a new car. So it doesn’t really matter either way.

So now for my not so wordless Wednesday. The part with no words :))

New Perfume :))

(new hair color?)

I got the black and white one – I’m super weird about matching so I didn’t want to risk not being able to match my outfit to my bag when I go to Vegas in a little over a month :))

Happy Wordless Wednesday!!! As I finally take a deep exhale myself and am confident only better days are ahead now.
